As side effects are an expected part of radiotherapy treatment, we have a small team of radiographers who have specialised in a role to advise and guide patients through treatment if/ when these side effects occur.
The review team will see patients during their radiotherapy treatment, sometimes alternating with the doctor, and will offer any suggestions on ways to manage side effects or possibly prescribe or recommend medications that can help.
The treatment radiographers will let patients know when they are scheduled to see the review team during treatment.
