Publication Scheme

The Information Commissioner (ICO), who are responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the FOI Act, have drawn up what is entitled a Model Publication Scheme which the health board has adopted and is formally committed to.  The Information Commissioner has also published a Definition Document for NHS organisations which sets out, in some detail, what his minimum expectations are as far as the health board is concerned.

Go to the Information Commissioner's Office Model Publication Scheme on their website, which we have adopted, and which sets out the commitment to making information available to the public. It is in PDF format.

Go to the Information Commissioner's Office definition document on their website, which sets out what information the health board should be making available. It is in PDF format.

The Publication Scheme is a complete guide to the information routinely published by the Health Board, how this information is published and whether any fee is payable for access. It is a description of the information about our Health Board, which we make publicly available. We will review the Publication Scheme at regular intervals and monitor how it is operating.

To make it easier, information contained within a Publication Scheme is divided into 7 classes. Please click on the links for each class for a more detailed breakdown of the information.
