Physiotherapy

You can drop in to see us at one of our walk-in assessment clinics - no appointment necessary. However, you may only use the physiotherapy walk-in clinic:

  • If you live within the Swansea Bay University Health Board area with a valid post code
  • If you have a musculoskeletal problem
  • If you are aged 16 or over

Unfortunately we are not able to assess you if:

  • You are not registered with a GP
  • You do not live in the Swansea Bay University Health Board area
  • You are under the age of 16
  • If you have a Neurological condition (Stroke or MS)
  • If you have a Respiratory or Lung condition
  • If you have Obstetric or Gynaecological problems

Please see your GP for further advice.

Within the walk-in clinic, you will have a short assessment to see if physiotherapy treatment may help you with your musculoskeletal (back, neck, joint pain, soft tissue) problem.

If you have already been referred by letter from your GP or another health care professional you do not need to be assessed in the walk-in assessment clinic as you are already on the physiotherapy waiting list for assessment.

Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, we might have to reduce the number of people seen within the walk-in clinics, but this is only done as a last resort and happens very rarely.
