11. My child has an egg allergy. Are they able to have the vaccine?

Children with a history of severe anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) to egg, which has required intensive care, should be referred to specialists for immunisation in hospital.

All children with mild egg allergy are able to be vaccinated in school safely. If you’re worried please contact the school nurse to discuss.
