The schools flu vaccination programme has begun.

Please note: The School Nursing Service will ONLY be giving pupils whose parents/guardians have given consent the nasal spray flu vaccination in school. They DO NOT administer the Covid vaccination to children. If your child is eligible for the Covid vaccination, the health board will send a letter to your home with details of an appointment at one of our mass vaccination centres.

All children in primary school (Reception to Year 6) and those in secondary school (years 7 to 11) will be offered the vaccination in school.

The programme runs until the Christmas holidays, although catch-up sessions will be offered in January.

Pupils will be sent home with a consent form. Parents and guardians must ensure this is filled in and sent back to the school if they want their child to have the vaccination.
