Gorseinon Hospital, Brynawel Road, Gorseinon
Blood tests now available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 8am and 3.45pm. The blood test clinic in Gorseinon Hospital has been relocated to a newly refurbished building behind the main hospital.
Central Clinic, Orchard Street, Swansea
A temporary blood test clinic is still running at Central Clinic, Orchard Street, Swansea.
Clinics run on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Blood tests will also be available at Central Clinic on a Friday from 5th May 2023 between 8am and 3.45pm.
The new clinic is part of our long-term health board plan to provide routine blood tests, such as those requested by GPs, at community hubs across the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas.
The temporary service at Central Clinic will run while the health board seeks a permanent venue for blood testing in or near the city centre.
Port Talbot Resource Centre, Moor Road, Port Talbot
Port Talbot Resource Centre clinic runs between 8am and 3.45pm, Monday to Thursday.
The centre has a car park and additional parking has been allocated for use by visitors to the Resource Centre in the Morrisons car park next door.
Please note, the blood test service is now at the front of the Discharge Lounge, just inside the main hospital entrance on the left, next to Costa.
This clinic operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.40pm.
Enter the main atrium and make your way to the blood test reception desk which is inside the main outpatient clinic. From there you will be directed by a staff member.
We have introduced an appointment system for all blood tests.
There will be a fixed number of appointments available for booked blood tests each day. There are some tests that cannot be performed at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, please follow guidance above.
Please stick to your allocated appointment time as you may be turned away if you arrive early or late.

The phlebotomy department is located up the hill to the right hand side of the hospital. Past the mortuary entrance on the left hand side, you’ll find the entrance to the phlebotomy department. You will be greeted by a volunteer who will take your details.
