What does the term "unpaid carer" mean?

An unpaid adult carer is someone who provides or intends to provide care for an adult or disabled person – but does not have a contract and is not doing the role as voluntary work.

Unpaid carers can be both adults and children, but only those unpaid carers who are over the age of 16 will be receiving a COVID-19 vaccine as part of priority group 6.
