Education Programmes for Patients (EPP) forms part of the Living Well Service. Our multidisciplinary team of health and social care professionals is committed to working collaboratively with you to promote your health and well-being, supporting you to remain safe and maintain independence within your community.
EPP provides a variety of free self-management courses for people living with any long-term health conditions or people in a caring role.
The courses support patients' skills to manage their long-term condition, fatigue, poor sleep, physical limitations, tense muscles, pain, stress, anxiety, anger, fear, frustration, depression and medication.
Attending an EPP Self‑Management programme offers a range of important benefits. No one understands your health and circumstances better than you do, and the same principle applies when managing a long‑term health condition or caring responsibility.
EPP Self‑Management programmes enhance the support you receive from the NHS by equipping you with the skills and confidence to take an active role in managing your condition. The programme teaches a series of proven techniques that help individuals build self‑belief, strengthen their ability to cope, and improve day‑to‑day management of their health.
These benefits collectively contribute to increased confidence, greater independence, and an overall improvement in quality of life.
