How do I get into and out of a car as a passenger?

Push the seat as far back as it will go and recline it.
If possible, get into the car from a drive or the road rather than the pavement.
Step backwards to the car until you feel it touching the back of your legs.
Get into the car with your bottom first. Using your hands, gently lower yourself down. Remember to keep your operated leg straight out in front of you.
Slide backwards over the seat until your bottom is near the driver’s seat. This allows more room to get your legs into the car. Recline the seat if needed.
Turn towards the dashboard and lean backward as you lift your operated leg into the car.
Take care- Do not flex your hip past 90 degrees or cross your midline.
To get out of the car, do the same procedure in reverse.
