Acute lower back pain

Acute lower back pain refers to pain in the lower back region that has occurred recently and is not longstanding. This normally means pain of less than 6-12 weeks in duration. People who have had back pain for longer than this can often suffer from ("acute") flaire ups which should be treated similarly.
