I am a carer but I am not in another priority group, what should I do?

You (the unpaid carer) do not need to fall into another priority group to qualify under the Green Book definition and Welsh Government criteria.

For example, you may be 30 years old with no underlying health conditions. So long as you satisfy the Green Book definition and Welsh Government criteria, your age and health will not stop you from being prioritised under group 6.

The definition and criteria have been put in place in part to make sure that unpaid carers in groups 7-9 or aged 16-49 who do not have underlying health conditions are prioritised a little sooner, as part of group 6.
