Hello, my name is Judith Storey and I am a clinical psychologist.

I cover both Hafan Y Môr and Neath and Port Talbot Children’s Centre.

I work with children and young people who have additional needs, their families and carers, and the staff who support them.

When children and their families come to see me, I ask them to try to explain to me what they are seeking help for and why. I also do this with staff seeking advice.

I believe people are experts of their own lives and the issues they are hoping to address. Therefore, I see us as working together as a team. I work with people to see if anything can, or in fact needs to be done differently by themselves or others in their lives.

I do this using lots of different methods depending on the person and the situation. It could include talking and asking lots of questions, listening to what you have to say, writing things down, drawing, and at times, playing games and having fun.

I hope this has explained what you can expect if you come to see me.  Please feel free to ask any questions you have if we meet.
