Ty Olwen specialist palliative care inpatient unit reopens

During Covid-19, issues including the depletion of medical and nurse staffing and lowered demand for bed occupancy necessitated in a temporary movement of Ty Olwen inpatients to acute units or for different levels of support at home.    

We are pleased to say that these issues have eased to a point where we are now able to resume the inpatient service.

Ty Olwen Inpatient Unit will be opened to provide Specialist Palliative Care and End of Life Care for admissions from 04/08/2020.

In order to support safety and good patient care, the service will adapt for Covid-19 requirements at a restricted number of 8 beds.
