About Me

Family Therapist

I’m Sarah and I work as a Family Therapist in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).  I meet with young people and their families, providing a safe space for them to talk about their worries and sometimes about difficult topics.

We know that families come in different formats and believe there is no ‘right’ way to be a family together.  We also know that families are made up of individuals each bringing their own perspectives.  I am interested in getting to know families and hear about the successes, challenges and resources that make the family unique.

I like to learn about how a family manages their day-to-day life through understanding their culture, beliefs, family rules, individual experiences and other things that are important to them, as this is so helpful when thinking about how challenges live alongside family life.
