The Patient Affairs Office will provide guidance and support to assist bereaved families and friends, liaising with medical staff and relevant departments i.e. Coroner’s Office, Registrar of Births and Deaths, in order to issue the Medical Cause of Death Certificate, which will enable the Registration of Death to take place.
You will also receive an information booklet from the ward, ‘A Guide for Bereaved Relatives and Friends’ which may help answer some of your questions at this difficult time.
