Our Immbulance is back on the road this week offering Spring booster vaccinations for those eligible - see below for eligibility.
Here’s the timetable:
Tuesday 30th April – Cwmafan Health Centre car park, Cwmafan, Port Talbot, SA12 9PY. 9:30am – 4:30pm.
Wednesday 1st May – Tesco Port Talbot car park, Prior Street, Port Talbot, SA13 1YA. 9:30am – 4:30pm.
Thursday 2nd May – Morfa (by Starbucks), Morfa Shopping Park, Brunel Way, Swansea, SA1 7BP. 9:30am – 4:30pm.
No booking required, just drop in!
This spring we are offering an extra booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to the most vulnerable people in our communities.
The extra booster has been recommended by the independent Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which advises UK governments, and accepted by Welsh Government.
It’s being offered as a precaution so that those who are most at risk of becoming seriously ill if they catch coronavirus can keep a high level of immunity.
Who gets it?
- Adults aged 75 years and over
- Residents in a care home for older adults
- Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed
How and when will I hear?
You will be sent a letter or text message from the Covid Vaccination Team with an appointment at a GP surgery or a local community pharmacy.
The appointment being offered is for the Covid-19 spring 2024 booster.
You may hear from us from 19th March onwards, as appointments begin Tuesday 2nd April.
But don’t worry if you don’t hear from us straight away, appointments will be given as we work through the eligibility groups. We will be offering the spring booster until June.
There is no need to contact your GP surgery or the health board. If you are eligible, you will be sent an appointment.
How can I cancel or change my appointment?
If you are unable to make your appointment, please refer to your invitation letter and contact the Covid Booking Team on 01639 862323.
