Health board charity hopes for big result from jersey raffle
Swansea Bay Health Charity is offering Welsh football supporters the opportunity to really stand out in the Red Wall – through winning a jersey signed by the team.
The replica strip – bearing the signatures of stars including Gareth Bale, Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey – is the subject of a Christmas raffle with all proceeds going towards enhancing the NHS services in Swansea Neath Port Talbot.
It was donated to the charity by Nathaniel Cars in Bridgend, and signed by the players who got us to the World Cup.
Lewis Bradley, support manager for Swansea Bay Health Charity, (pictured above with colleague Cathy Stevens) said: “Tickets are only £2.50 each but the amount you can buy is unlimited, so the more you purchase the more you improve your chances of winning.
“We will announce the winner on 19th December, the Monday before Christmas – the day after the World Cup final.
“It would make a great Christmas present for a member of the Red Wall – just imagine wearing it as you stand amongst the fans to sing the national anthem.
“Or you could have it framed as a reminder of the team which got us to our first World Cup in 64 years.”
Cathy Stevens, the charity’s fundraising officer, said: “We aim to improve patient care by providing equipment, staff training, funding research and completing special projects which go above and beyond what the NHS is able to provide. This also includes the South West Wales Cancer Centre Fund.
“Our aim is to create a better experience and environment for all of our patients, staff and their families.”
