We will ensure that women and pregnant people are seen according to clinical need, so those with the most urgent need of our care are seen first.
We aim to see everyone who attends the Swansea Bay Maternity Triage AAU within 15 minutes, for an initial assessment.
Once a midwife has assessed you, you may be prioritised for ongoing checks, investigations and care; or you may be asked to wait a while. The decision will be made in line with your individual clinical needs.
Please be patient if you are asked to wait. Our system helps us to prioritise the safety of women, pregnant people and babies in our care.
