Immbulance and pop up sessions

We have Covid vaccination drop in sessions this week, available for all children aged five to 11, and adults aged 12 and over. Timetable below.

10am – 5pm

Children aged five to 11 – 1st or 2nd dose (2nd dose cannot be given less than 12 weeks after the 1st or eight weeks if the child is in an at-risk group.)

Adults – first, second and first booster.

Here’s the timetable:

Tuesday, 16th August - Gwaun Cae Gurwen Community Centre, New Road, Gwaun Cae Gurwen SA18 1ET. 10am – 5pm.

Wednesday, 17th August – Ysgol Bae Baglan, Seaway Parade, Port Talbot, SA12 7BL. 10am – 5pm.

Thursday, 18th August – Immbulance at Guildhall carpark, St Helen's Road, Swansea, SA1 4PE. 10am – 5pm.

Tuesday, 23rd August – Immbulance at Community Engagement Day at Blaenymaes. Accessed via Broughton Avenue, Blaenymaes, Swansea, SA5 5LN. 10am – 5pm.

Wednesday, 24th August – Ysgol Bae Baglan, Seaway Parade, Port Talbot, SA12 7BL. 10am – 5pm.

Wednesday, 24th August – Immbulance at Margam Orangery linking in with the Chai and Chat session for the BAME community. Margam Park, Neath Port Talbot, SA13 2TJ 10am – 5pm.

Thursday, 25th August – Immbulance at Community Engagement Day at Hafod Park. Accessed via Odo Street, Swansea, SA1 2LS. 10am – 5pm.

Wednesday, 31st August – Clydach Community Hall, Vardre Road, Clydach, Swansea, SA6 5LP. 10am – 5pm. 10am – 5pm.

Important information to remember!

If your child has had Covid they should wait at least 12 weeks following infection (from the first day of symptoms or positive test) before getting their vaccine if they are not in a group that is at greater risk of serious illness from Covid. They must wait for four weeks if they are in an at-risk group.

Please note, the Covid vaccine Autumn booster programme has not started yet. They will not be available during these sessions.

Important message

Please remember, if you are 18 or over or under 18 and at increased risk of serious illness from Covid due to an underlying medical condition, if you test positive for Covid you must delay having a Covid vaccination for at least 28 days.

The gap is at least 12 weeks for those under 18 who are not at increased risk of serious illness from Covid.

Eligibility and dosing schedules:

2nd doses

If you had your 1st dose a while ago and didn’t get around to having your 2nd, there is no need to restart the course. Come in for your second dose as soon as possible.

12-17 not at risk: At least a 12-week gap between 1st and 2nd.

18+: At least an 8-week gap between 1st and 2nd.

Booster: There must be a gap of 13 weeks or more between a 2nd or 3rd primary dose and a booster.
