The Penderi Wellbeing Hub is a free, weekly drop-in space designed to support the health and wellbeing of local residents. Whether you’re looking for advice, emotional support, lifestyle guidance or simply a friendly chat, the Hub brings trusted local organisations together in one place.

There are no appointments needed—just come along.

The Penderi Cluster created the Wellbeing Hub to:

  • Make it easier for residents to access health and wellbeing support
  • offers services directly within the community
  • Provide an informal, friendly space where people feel welcome
  • Bring key organisations together to improve support

The Hub complements the care provided by local GP practices, community pharmacies and other services.

Everyone is welcome, including:

  • Local residents of any age
  • People looking for wellbeing, emotional or practical support
  • Anyone caring for others
  • Individuals who may benefit from community connection or advice

You do not need a referral or an appointment.

  • Friendly volunteers and staff on hand to greet you
  • A relaxed, comfortable space to sit, chat and meet others
  • Access to a range of support including:
    • Mental health and wellbeing support
    • Benefits, housing and debt advice
    • Lifestyle and behaviour change support
    • Local information and signposting
  • Activities such as tea & chat, wellbeing sessions and workshops
  • The chance to meet different organisations each week
  • Tea, biscuits and a warm welcome

The Hub hosts a rotating programme of local organisations. Below is a summary of what each partner offers.

Citizens Advice

Provides free, confidential advice on:

  • Benefits and entitlement
  • Debt and budgeting
  • Housing and employment issues
  • Consumer queries
    They help residents understand their options and feel more in control of their situation.
Adferiad

Supporting people with mental health, addiction and co-occurring issues.
They offer:

  • Emotional and wellbeing support
  • Guidance around managing mental health
  • Signposting to further services
  • Practical support to build confidence and stability
Social prescriber

Helps people improve their wellbeing through community-based activities and support such as:

  • Social groups
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Exercise or activity programmes
  • Confidence-building and connection to local resources
Help Me Quit

NHS Wales’ free stop-smoking service providing:

  • One-to-one support
  • Advice on stopping smoking
  • Access to free stop-smoking medication
  • Support plans tailored to individual needs
Carers Centre

Provides guidance and support for unpaid carers, including:

  • Emotional support
  • Practical advice
  • Information on carer benefits and rights
  • Peer support opportunities
Mind

Supports emotional wellbeing through:

  • Mental health information
  • Listening support
  • Confidence-building
  • Signposting to local community mental health resources
End of life care Parasol service

Using 'what matters most?' and 'what is important to you?', the service promotes the importance of future care planning in the wider community to ensure people have the opportunity to document their wishes and preferences in the event they may not be able to do so in the future.
